Drew Filipski (he/him/his) is a freelance journalist and media professional with a passion for music journalism, travel experiences and queer-centered narratives. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University’s Carr Van Anda Program, along with a minor in marketing. While he has lived and worked in both New York City and Los Angeles, he is currently based in his hometown of Cleveland.

Drew was selected as a scholar for NLGJA’s 2024 CONNECT Student Journalism Training Project and as a mentee for the inaugural Visit Greater Palm Springs Meet the Mentors program. His work has appeared in Signal Tribune, The Buckeye Flame, INTO, and Queerty.
